These studies are taught in at least four semesters and a maximum of seven. During this period the student must finish his dissertation, and successfully defend it in open examination within 5 years from registration to the Masters Program (LL.M.).

Establish a joint reflection on the factors that influence the development and strengthening of the constitutional rule of law, from the reality and perspective of the entities of the federation.

Connect Chiapas’s society with legal science to generate a constitutional culture through the promotion and organization of training, dissemination, disclosure, socialization and application of legal knowledge.

• Promote the advancement of legal science through teaching, research and knowledge extension.
• Promote the creation of collaborative networks that enable teachers and students to participate in the legal community research and contribute to the generation and dissemination of knowledge through the publication of peer-reviewed documents.
• Contribute to the enrichment of national research by professional and academic training of graduates.
• Develop lines of research to address various issues related to the legal sciences from local and national perspectives.

Graduates form the Masters (LL.M.) have theoretical, technical and methodological training, and are competent to perform constructively in the field of law, to develop knowledge, skills, attitudes and values:

• Strengthen knowledge of the contents and the legal technicalities of the research.
• Understand the theories underpinning legal sciences.
• Identify and apply research methods in the legal area.
• Organize and evaluate legal work for the creation and application of law.
• Conduct research in the field of law, for the creation and application of knowledge.
• Analyze the legal and social phenomena with a critical sense.
• Teaching in higher education.
