Academic Board
The Academic Board Is the body for consultation and technical opinion of the Legal Research Institute, which shall have the following powers:
- Prepare the draft for the Rules and Policies Handbook Legal Research Institute and send it to the University President, to be submitted for consideration and approval by the University Council.
- Review and opine on projects and academic initiatives presented by the Rector, the Director of the Institute, members of the faculty, students or from the board itself.
- Study and review the Institute’s Plans and Programs of Study and send them to the Rector, to be submitted for consideration and approval by the University Council.
- Study and review research projects that are proposed to the Institute.
- Investigate misconduct by faculty, staff or students which disrupts the order or discipline of the institute.
- Request the application of corresponding penalties, according to the University Legislation, to the faculty, staff or students who alter the order and discipline of the Institute.
- Review requests for validation of applicants studies.
- Others conferred to it by the University Legislation.
The Academic Board of the Institute of Legal Research shall consist of the Director of the Institute, the Academic Secretary, one full-time member of the faculty, leaders of the Academic Bodies, and a student representative of all educational programs. The number of Board members shall not exceed five.
