Mission Statement
The IIJ-UNACH conducts research on social problems from the perspective of legal science focusing on the analysis of relevant issues for Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico’s Southern border. The Center is a team-work based creative space that seeks to influence the development of public policies and promote actions of civil society to strengthen democratic governance, the effectiveness of human rights, the rule of law and the basis for investment and sustainable development in the region.
Goal
The IIJ-UNACH has established itself as a center of research, academic mobility and legal education of the highest quality and excellence in the region. It is integrated by a team of internationally renowned researchers engaged in finding solutions to social problems; its graduate programs recognized as “International Competence” in the standard of excellence of Mexican evaluator CONACYT have formed a critical mass that gives long-term sustainability.
